I see... Well, since I have that card, I might try to do that on someone next time. Though the next time you will try that again, make sure it doesn't involve any salty treats.]

[Well, that little prank did help her on completing a square, so he might as well do her a favor.]

Well, I was thinking of the "Challenge a stranger to a duel of your choice" and I was wondering if you like to help me complete this square.

It's alright. I'm just thinking of a trivia contest as my duel of choice. Is that alright?

[He then opens up his computer with some kind of website shown in the screen.]

And just to be fair, I'm going to use a trivia generator with a category of your choice. Do you have in mind about the category?

[personal profile] megabond 2017-07-15 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, if he does pick the category, that would mean a big disadvantage to his opponent and he wouldn't want that. With that, he activates the generator and prepares for the first question.]

All right, first one to raise our hands will answer the question. Right answer gets a point while giving the wrong one will let the other player have the chance to answer. Whoever gets 3 points wins the contest.

Sounds good?

[And once Augustine finishes his explanation on the rules, the first question to the trivia contest shows itself on his computer monitor.]

"Who were the first people to separate copper from its ore?"

[At this point, Augustine may raise his hand too late, which may give Tuuri the chance to answer.]

[He then types the answer Tuuri gave, but it gives a red X-shaped cross in the monitor.]

Guess that's incorrect then. Then I guess that it was the Americans who discovered it.

[It also gives the same cross to his answer before revealing the answer to be "The Ancient Egyptians".]

Well, looks like we're both wrong then.

[Makes sense since he also has no knowledge about that question.]

[Oh! He did remember that question during one of his high-school exams thanks to his friend tutored him on the History subject about Egyptian history. With that, he quickly raises his hand.]

If I can remember, is it Ptolemy XII?

[He then lets Tuuri try to type in the answer in his computer.]

[personal profile] megabond 2017-07-24 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, he isn't the type to ignore a small help, so once he checks on his computer, he corrects the spelling to make sure she doesn't make a mistake.]

There. I think that's the right spelling.
megabond: (Smiling)

[personal profile] megabond 2017-07-28 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, he can't blame Tuuri for the spelling mistake. He did have that problem several times back then. Regardless, at least he has a point this time.

With that, it's now his turn to use his computer to generate a new question. This time, it's a geometry problem.]

If the length of each side of a shoe box is increased by ten percent, then the volume of the box is increased by what percent?

[Well, this is a problem. He doesn't know the answer to this.]

[Cue an X-shaped symbol on the computer screen after Augustine submits Tuuri's answer.]

Good answer, but that's the wrong answer. Although, now that I think about it after hearing your calculation, my guess is that the answer might 33.1.

[This time, the computer screen shows a green check sign to Augustine's answer.]
