Ahaha, hey, at least we'll get some practice in now! Sometime in the future, our ability to lasso things will save our lives, and we'll be grateful for this day!
[she says, slowly hauling herself up to the table... she takes a second to rest once she pulls herself onto the table top, then gently starts to untangle the string from the lamp.]
But it would be nice if either of us were cowboys.
[ she says, from near the window while she continues working on the string. ]
I'll be sure to say that I learned how to lasso from opening windows here...
[ Sakura is gonna go and try this again! She's swinging the lasso more to get more velocity into it, but when she throws it again, it still ends up nowhere near the window. ]
I've only watched Once Upon a Time in the West once...
Oh! I have an idea! You can come down, I think I figured something!
[ And off Sakura goes, dashing into the distance. There's a clattering a few minutes later as Sakura comes up with a library trolley stacked with some books. Really tall. With the capacity to be made taller. It's teetering, which is why she's taking her time but it's clear that the books + trolley = height advantage. ]
[ It takes a little bit of pushing and pulling but finally, they get to the point where the cart is level with the window. ]
Now all we have to do is climb up and lasso-ing it will be a pinch!
[ She grabs the length of rope that she brought with her and starts climbing up the books, which is thankfully arranged in some sort of haphazard step pattern so that it's not entirely a feat to get up there. ]
[or a hero to Tuuri, anyway, and that's what really matters here.]
I'll hold it steady for you! [mostly because a, she doesn't feel like climbing another tall thing so soon, but b, if Sakura misses she can help pass the rope up again.] Just be careful, okay? I'm pretty sure we can't get you to the hospital like this, haha...
[ Sakura doesn't reply because she's concentrated so intensely at getting this right. There's not much going through her head - no calculations or anything or the sort. Just the instinctive feel of someone who understands the ground beneath her feet and the space above her.
As she climbs and reaches the absolute top she can, she grabs the rope and throws it towards the latch on the window. There's a moment where it feels like it won't make and Sakura throws herself with the rope.
There's a tense moment where she's freefalling to the ground but she wraps the rope end around herself.
Sakura's weight pulls the window open - the groan of metal as the whole pane swings outwards, leaving a wide open window and the gentle tinkling of music filtering in. ]
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I'm dizzy.
[ she's clinging on for dear life as she lowers herself to the window ledge ]
[It's a shame that the music playing is so beautifully haunting, because this really calls for a heroic, adventuring soundtrack like Indiana Jones; Tuuri watches, riveted, as Sakura jumps after the rope, holds her breath as she falls, and gasps as the window creaks open.
Tuuri breaks out into applause.] Oh my god! That was so cool! Sakura! Are you okay?
[Tuuri rushes to climb the window again herself.]
Hold on! That was the coolest thing I've ever seen!
[ Sakura lets herself down onto the window ledge. She's got swirls in her eyes but she feels the breeze blowing across her face, and she soon feels better.
Meanwhile, anything Tuuri would have said has gotten lost in her dizziness. Sorry about that.
But after a moment, she stands up onto her feet and swearing never to do that again. ]
[By the time Sakura's recovered, Tuuri has finally managed to scramble onto the ledge.]
Hee, so cool... [Yep, she's still going at it-- at least she can tell that Sakura's not up to 100% yet.] Hey, Sakura, are you alright? Do you need to rest for a minute?
[The question trails off, a little hopeful, now that the music is trickling in clearer through the open window.]

[ she says, with a sigh as Tuuri starts walking off. Sakura is gonna make herself useful and just make another lasso while she's doing that. ]
It's a good thing we've got a lot of thread and the day is still young!

[she pauses to watch Sakura's latest try, and winces sympathetically when it misses.] That one was close!
[no, it wasn't. but close is relative.] I'm going to try it from up here! Ready--!
[this time the rope actually thumps against the glass!!! much closer to the windowsill than the latch, but hey, you can't win them all.]

[It's going to take her a little while to get down anyway, so by the time she gets to the ground, Sakura's shown up with the books.]
Oh, that's perfect! What a good idea! Here, let me help--
[she comes over to help Sakura push the cart into position.]
I bet we can get level with the window with this!

Now I get what you mean by the music though.
[ She scoots over to Tuuri, pretty much clinging onto her arm. ]
I think I preferred everything when I was normal size.

[She props her chin up in her hand, gazing out the window alongside Sakura to listen.]
Mm, maybe. It was fun at first, but I wouldn't want it to be like this forever. It was just a nice adventure, you know?
